Purpose/Principle

Quantitatively measure alanine aminotransferase (ALT) activity to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of certain liver diseases (e.g. viral hepatitis and cirrhosis) and heart diseases.

Special Collection Notes

Capillary draws must be free flowing to prevent hemolysis
