Purpose/Principle

Determine the chloride ion concentration in sweat to aid in the diagnosis of cystic fibrosis.

Sample Stability

Ambient: 72 hours
Refrigerated: 72 hours
Frozen @ less than -70 Celsius: 18 months (frozen with 2 hrs of collection)
